The Best Brownies Recipe

Almond Butter Brownies

These have been my favorite brownies for several years now and they are always a big hit in my house. Wholesome ingredients, refined-sugar free, gluten-free, vegan friendly AND super easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond butter (unsalted)
  • 1.5 tbsp. cacao powder
  • 1 flax egg (2 tbsp. ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp. water & mix)
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mega chocolate chunks (Enjoy Life brand)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line an 8×8 or 8×6 baking dish with unbleached parchment paper.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, folding in the chocolate chunks last.
  3. Add the batter to the baking dish and bake for about 25 mins., or until golden dark brown.
  4. Let the brownies cool for about 10 mins. before cutting and serving
  5. Enjoy!
